Adding Agents to Containers

Before a container can interact with the Depot server, you need to deploy a CloudMix agent to the container. These agents are responsible for deploying and undeploying applications on Depot's behalf.

[Note]Note

If you are deploying an agent to ServiceMix 4, first ensure that ServiceMix has fully started before attempting to deploy. At the ServiceMix console, type osgi list to list the active bundles. There should be over 120 active bundles listed.

To add an agent to a container:

  1. On the Depot Home page, click the link for your container on the bottom left of the screen.

  2. Save the agent ZIP file to your hard drive.

    If you are prompted for a username and password, use the provisioning agent username, Agent, and the password agent.

  3. Open the agent ZIP file and extract it to the root of your container installation directory, for example:

    C:\iona\fuse-esb-4.0.0.2

    or

    /opt/apache-tomcat-6.0.16
